Make Mama Proud
In my free time, I chose to work with a social outreach group of designers that deliberated over multiple social awareness campaigns before finally deciding on general sustainability. We named the campaign Make Mama Proud in reference to "Mother Nature" and our desire to do things that were better for her and, in turn, us as humans. We created a website filled with all kinds of information ranging from recycling to sustainable alternatives to common necessities. Unfortunately, COVID interfered with the completion of our campaign, but I was left with a renewed sense of responsibility, as well as some fun social media designs.
Eye-Catching Design.
My first project was to introduce the public to our campaign's branding so they could recognize future posts and other marketing materials as part of the Make Mama Proud Social Awareness Campaign. For this, I created a GIF of our logo and alternated all the different color schemes that we had prepared in advance.
Social Awareness
I followed this initial brand awareness post with informational posts, providing some unbelievable statistics that were sure capture attention. We researched various sources, such as the EPA, for statistics that could be used in an impactful way. We also incorporated mild humor, using Yo Mama jokes to relate to the topic of the post.
Sharing Useful Tips.
After the public's attention was properly grabbed, we dropped some useful tips on them to improve their awareness and habits.
